Every workspace member has one of three roles. Roles control what a person can access and manage within the workspace.

Role breakdown

Member

Members can create videos, publish to libraries, and share externally. They draw from the workspace’s shared minute pool. Members cannot invite or remove people, create libraries, or access billing or workspace-level settings.

Admin

Admins have everything a Member has, plus the ability to invite members, change roles, configure the brand kit, and view workspace-level analytics. Admins cannot manage billing or delete the workspace.

Owner

The Owner has full control over the workspace — including plans, billing, and the ability to delete the workspace. The person who creates the workspace is automatically the Owner. There is exactly one Owner per workspace.

Changing roles

Owners and Admins can change a member’s role from Settings → Members by clicking the role badge next to their name. Admins can change roles up to (but not exceeding) their own role level. Role changes take effect immediately.

Chat privacy

Every chat thread is strictly private to the person who created it. No teammate — regardless of role — can view or continue another member’s chat. Everyone can only see videos that have been explicitly published to a library.
Ownership can be transferred by the current Owner. Each workspace can have one or multiple Owners at all times.
