Callout draws a highlighted box around a region of the screen so viewers see exactly where to look. Unlike Spotlight, which only dims the surroundings, Callout also zooms toward the region.

Adding a callout

Step 1: Open the Insert panel from the right sidebar. Step 2: Under Effects, select Callout.

Step 3: A Callout Region appears on the canvas and a block is added to the Callout track. Drag and resize it to frame what you want to highlight.

Callout settings

Selecting the region opens Callout Settings in the right-hand panel.

Each control has its own Reset button. Close Callout editor returns to the Screen panel.

Timing

The block on the Callout track shows the current scale — for example, Callout 1.3x. Drag its edges to adjust when it appears, or use the Duration slider.
