If your team runs internal tools or holds data that isn’t covered by a standard application integration, you can connect your own MCP (Model Context Protocol) server as a knowledge source.

Adding an MCP server

Step 1: Go to Connectors → MCP servers and select Add server. Step 2: Fill in the Add MCP server dialog:

Step 3: Select Continue, then Connect to sign in. With OAuth (sign in) selected, Velo discovers the OAuth endpoints and registers a client automatically. If your server does not support automatic registration, expand Manual OAuth client and paste a client ID. Step 4: Once connected, the server becomes a knowledge source you can attach to a Prompt to Video session, the same way as a knowledge base or an application.

When to use this

Use an MCP server connector when the information you need lives in an internal system without a native Velo integration — for example, an internal wiki, a custom database, or a proprietary tool. For common SaaS tools, check Applications first, since most are already supported.
