Masks blur a region of the recording so that passwords, personal email addresses, customer names or private dashboard figures are not legible to viewers. Blur is obscuring, not redaction — set it high enough that the content genuinely cannot be read, and check the result at full screen before you share.

Adding a mask

Open the Insert panel from the right sidebar and add a mask. A Mask Region appears on the canvas and a block is added to the Masking track. Drag the region over what you want hidden and resize it with the handles.

Selecting a mask opens the Mask Editor in the right-hand panel.

Apply to all masks pushes the current blur and roundness to every mask in the video at once, so a whole video can be made consistent in one step.
Masks blur what is underneath — they do not paint over it with a solid block. Set Blur high enough that the content is genuinely unreadable, and check the result at full screen before sharing.

Using several masks

A video can carry as many masks as you need, each covering a different area at a different point in the video. They appear as separate blocks on the Masking track — in the screenshot above there are two, each at 40% blur — and you can drag their edges to control when each one is active.
