Paste a Link lets you create a Velo demo straight from a live website or web app. You give Velo a URL, walk through the page with your microphone on, and then an AI agent goes back and records the full demo from that same URL using your approved script.
This method is currently in Beta. Some features may change as we improve the experience.
This method works best when:
  • Your product is a live web app or public URL that the agent can access
  • You want to create a Velo around a specific page, feature, or flow at a real URL
  • You don’t have a screen recording or static files ready
It’s ideal for Velos, landing page walkthroughs, and feature showcases where the live product itself is the best visual.
Some websites use bot-detection or security services (like Cloudflare) that may block the agent from loading the page. If you run into this, try a different URL or use the Capture Screen Recording or Upload a Recording methods instead.

Requirements

  • A Velo account - sign in at app.usevelo.ai
  • The Velo Chrome Extension - required for the narration session. See Chrome Extension Installation if you haven’t installed it yet.
  • A publicly accessible URL - the page must be reachable by the agent without authentication

How it works

Paste your URL

Name your project and enter the URL of the page you want to demo.

Narrate the page

Velo opens the URL in a new tab. Walk through the product with your microphone on, narrating what you’d want to highlight.

Configure your VeloTwin

Choose your AI presenter, add instructions, set the style and target duration, and click Generate Script.

Review the script

Review the AI-generated script scene by scene. Edit narration, give feedback, and regenerate until it’s right.

Run the agent

Click “Go, Make my Velo →” and the AI agent browses your URL, recording the Velo from your approved script.

Edit and share

Open the Velo editor to refine, then share via link or download.
