# Billing & credits

> Prompt to Video uses its own credit pool, separate from Velo minutes.

Prompt to Video is metered separately from the rest of Velo. Where recording-based Velo usage draws from your workspace's shared minute pool, Prompt to Video draws from a **separate credit pool**.

## The two units

Velo meters two things separately, and they never draw from each other.

| Unit | What it pays for | Where to see it |
| - | - | - |
| **Velo minutes** | Recording-based videos — screen capture, uploaded recordings, uploaded PDFs, and pasted links. Consumed by the length of the recordings and videos you generate, shared across everyone in the workspace | **Settings → Usage**, top of the page |
| **Prompt to Video credits** | Videos made from a prompt. Consumed per agent turn — research, writing, revision, rendering | **Settings → Usage**, under **Reach Usage** |

Running out of one does not block the other: with no minutes left you can still make a video from a prompt, and with no credits left you can still record and upload.

## How Prompt to Video credits are used

Credits are consumed per agent turn — each step where the agent researches, writes, revises, or renders counts against your pool. How many a video costs depends on how much research and revision it needs.

You can see exactly what each video consumed in **Settings → Usage**, under the **Credits used** table.

## Credits by plan

| Ultra | 8,000 credits |

## Topping up

If you run out of Prompt to Video credits before your next billing cycle, you can purchase a top-up pack:

| 1,000 | \$25.00 |
| 4,000 | \$100.00 |
| 10,000 | \$250.00 |

Top-up packs are purchased from **Settings → Plans & Billing → Top-up → Reach credits**. See [Plans & billing](/settings/plans-billing) for the full flow.

Top-up credits are added to your existing Prompt to Video pool and don't expire at the end of the billing cycle.
